Scaffold Design Survey (Site visit)
Are you stuck and need a way out? Here we can intervene;
Scaffold Design Surveys (Site visits) are inspections of an area where work is proposed, to gather information for a scaffold design or an estimate to complete the scaffolding design service. It can determine a precise location, access, best orientation for the site, wind assessment and the location of obstacles.
The type of site survey and the best practices required depend on the nature of the project. Sometimes, when a scaffold is already erected, a scaffold design survey is necessary to asses the scaffold for a scaffold design check as erected; In this case, a particular attention is given
to structural aspect of the scaffold like: standards spacing and lifts heights, bracing and plan bracing, overall stability, types of scaffolding couplers used, sole-boards and ground (check for eventual undermining), site orientation for wind analysis, scaffold beams installation, transoms spacing and scaffold ties; On the other hand, the Health and Safety aspect is assessed: outside and inside handrails, toe-boards and stop-end boards, ladder access or proprietary staircase access, Monarflex or debris-netting and very important: if nearby public is put in danger by improper use of the scaffold.

After a scaffold design survey is carried out, a structural analysis is performed and only then a scaffold design drawing is issued.
